Everyone can benefit from prāṇāyāma (yoga breathing techniques), regardless of age. That’s the philosophy of Yoga50. And Yoga50 was started to provide inspiration and resources for everyone to benefit so they can improve their mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing – regardless of age, experience, or profession.
We all experience difficulties in life – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. These are different for everyone and change as we progress through our 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and above. Prāṇāyāma helps us overcome these challenges and return us to a natural healthy state. In this natural state, we stand a much greater chance of achieving our full potential, and with that the room for compassion towards others, and so happiness for all.

This is a comprehensive class that covers all of the essentials of prāṇāyāma from preparation, posture, and mudras to all of the key prāṇāyāma breathing techniques, breathing ratios, breath holding, and bandhas (locks). There is time for Q&A and I’ll provide some bonus tips on how to use advanced prāṇāyāma techniques to get the most out of your own prāṇāyāma practice.
