A Message from Patrick
At the age of 45 and after a number of serious health issues, I decided to change my life and improve my health & happiness.
I spent over 5 years researching and trying different things, including yoga, Qigong, meditation, mindfulness and many other techniques and methods.
My physical health did improve, but something was still not right.
I knew about some breathing techniques used in yoga and Qigong. So, I decided to give them a go.
The change was dramatic.
I felt physically lighter and stronger. And mentally, I had more focus and better concentration.
But, the results were inconsistent. Some days were better than others.
So, I continued learning and researching.
I was particularly interested in the ancient breathing techniques of Pranayama. So I went on to do an Advanced Pranayama TTC course with the leading yoga institute in Northern India.
This, combined with further extensive research, breathing training, and practice, led me to the realisation that it is not simply doing breathing exercises that matters most.
The reason these techniques work so well is because of the individual characteristics of each specific breathing technique, the order, intensity, and duration in which they are practiced, and how they are incorporated into a sustainable and healthy way of living.
I found that one technique in particular (Bhramari; Humming Breath) was pivotal and had a tremendously significant and life-changing positive impact on my sense of wellbeing, contentment, and happiness.
What I had experienced was a profound improvement in my health, like a complete mind/body reset, and dramatic physical and mental improvement.
So, I wanted to share what I had found with others. I searched extensively for courses and websites that might already offer specifically what I had in mind. But after weeks of searching, I couldn’t find the right match.
So, I created Yoga50.
If, like me, you would like to improve your mental and physical health and realise your full potential, I highly recommend that you try one of my courses or join my monthly pranayama breathwork conference.
And, if you have any questions or thoughts, just reach out to me by getting in touch.
Happiness and peace 🙂
