This is a 14-day group event to improve mental and physical resolve, confidence, and self-belief through pranayama breathwork and other activities. Through individual and team challenges, we strive and support each other to achieve and be the best we possibly can, creating a ripple of positivity and sense of achievement that we carry through into our everyday lives.
Why? For whatever reason, not everyone has the ability to achieve their potential in life. But what if we pulled together and helped and inspired each other to do just that? This is the purpose of the 14-day Group Breathwork Challenge.
By pulling together and surrounding ourselves with others that have similar goals and who are supportive and encouraging we can achieve great things. The sense of achievement and can-do attitude that comes with this can have an enormous positive and inspiring impact on the people we meet, our friends, family, and colleagues and the community in which we live.
Who’s it for? This is for anyone (male, female, young, or elderly) that wants to inspire and be inspired by the achievements of others, and who wants to discover more of their own potential and help awaken potential in others to create a better and more positive world to live in.
You do not need to be: super fit; experienced in pranayama breathwork; or young.
You do need to: have an open mind; be able to contribute to a team; and have the ability to encourage others when needed.
How does it work? On Day 1 we meet in-person (or online if you can’t make in-person) where you are given a timetable of classes, activities and personal actions for you to complete over the following 14 days. These range from simply thinking about and journaling your current daily routine and identifying long-term goals, to doing specific tasks (e.g., physical stretches, breathwork, and nature immersion) and activities to improve health and wellbeing for yourself and the team.
Live online and in-person.
1. I can’t make the in-person events. Can I still take part? Yes. Although it’s best if you can do the in-person events, sometimes it’s just not possible. You can still do the individual tasks and activities and we have regular online group meetups over the 14 days.
2. Are there any pre-requisites? Just that you have an open mind and are willing to learn new things, and encourage, help, and support others in the team.
3. What specific challenges will I do over the 14-days?
At the core of this 14-day challenge is the practice of pranayama breathwork, but it also includes many other tasks, activities and challenges including: daily physical movement & breathing exercise (appropriate to your ability); cold-water immersion; regular interaction with nature; keeping a journal of your interactions, diet, thoughts, mood, and outlook; exploring dietary options; practicing empathy and compassion; defining a long-term goal; talking to others in the group about a hobby or interest, a place you have visited, or someone you know or have met that has inspired you; and keeping and encouraging others to have a positive mental attitude.
4. How much time do I need to spend each day on the 14-day challenge? Some of the challenges are short (10-15 minutes) while others are tasks you take with you throughout day, or are a matter of behavioural change (e.g., cold rather than hot shower). Leave aside 1-1.5 hours a day to get the most out the 14-day challenge.
