In this article the authors investigate the impact of yoga training for 12 weeks and compare the results with 12 weeks no yoga training. The results show that yoga can help reduce heart rate heart rates (HR), Systolic Blood Pressures (SBP), Diastolic Blood Pressures (DBP), Pulse Pressures (PP), and Mean Arterial Pressures (MAPs).

An interesting article regarding how physical yoga can impact blood pressure. Their results suggest that physical yoga (Hatha Yoga) undertaken by elderly individuals has a significant and positive impact on blood pressure. On average, blood pressure fell by 5 points (155.5 before yoga; and 150 after yoga), and so they recommend that hypertensive elderly individuals
